From September 4th to 5th, 2025, the 14th Lighting Designers Exchange Annual Conference & Lighting Industry Expo, themed "Journey with Light, Embrace the Future", was grandly held in Shanghai. The conference aimed to gather strengths from all parties to jointly explore the path of innovative development for the lighting industry in the context of the new era.
Qi Yumei, Director of the Landscape Division of the Shanghai Greening and City Appearance Administration Bureau and special guest of the event, extended a warm welcome to the attending experts, scholars, exhibitors and friends from the business community. Xu Hua, Chairman of the Conference Executive Committee, Chief Electrical Engineer of Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co., Ltd., and President of the Beijing Illuminating Engineering Society, pointed out that in the face of new-era propositions such as smart cities, green low-carbon development and healthy light environments, lighting has long transcended its literal meaning of "illumination". Light is an eternal human need. Taking this annual conference as an opportunity, practitioners in the lighting industry will continue to join hands and emerge as a crucial force for urban renewal, cultural expression and sustainable development.
