From April 9th to 11th, 2025, the 20th China Road Lighting Forum, hosted by the China Association of Lighting Industry and themed "Low Carbon, Integration, Resilience and Safety", was grandly held in Chongqing. More than 400 representatives from municipal streetlight users, construction and maintenance units, product manufacturers, universities, technical research institutions and industry organizations across the country attended the forum.

At this forum, a number of well-known industry experts shared insights covering cutting-edge road lighting technologies, advanced municipal lighting operation and management experience, as well as lighting design schemes for major domestic engineering projects. Training sessions were also conducted focusing on multiple dimensions, including lighting design for typical municipal projects, specific technical requirements for lighting products in energy-saving renovation projects, the coordinated response of resilient cities to the dual carbon goals, safety and quality evaluation of street lamp products, and interpretation of the newly released standards.

Gao Hong, Director of the Promotion Department at the National Energy Conservation Center, delivered a presentation titled Analysis of the National Energy Conservation Situation and Interpretation of Relevant Policies. Ma Zhankai, Researcher at the Institute of Strategic Development of China Telecom Research Institute and Senior Expert in AI and Embodied Intelligence, shared his insights in the report Application Prospects of Artificial Intelligence in Road Lighting Construction and Urban Management. These presentations, among others, indicated that the current upgrading of urban road lighting is generally moving towards energy conservation, smart applications and landscape enhancement. With greater emphasis placed on the cost-performance ratio of lighting solutions, against the backdrop of the downward economic trend, the industry is prioritizing cost and energy reduction, empowering the diversified development of lighting products, enhancing the resilience of lighting enterprises, and working together to overcome the current challenges.

Meanwhile, the upgrading of road lighting, coupled with the construction of urban slow-traffic systems, enhances the comfort and experience of the urban light environment, and promotes the transformation of road lighting from a functional necessity to a medium of spiritual resonance.
