Meet in Xi'an, Chase the Dream of the National Games
A seven-character regulated verse can hardly fully portray the grand glory and majestic spirit of the Han and Tang dynasties. In China’s feudal era, the Han and Tang reigns always stood as the pinnacle. They exerted an extremely vital and far-reaching influence on the development and consolidation of the Chinese cultural circle and Huaxia civilization, boasting irreplaceable historical significance and value for both the contemporary era and future generations.
Xi'an, formerly known as Chang'an, a prosperous and magnificent city, epitomizes and embodies the essence of the prosperous Han and Tang dynasties. As the central city of Northwest China and an international comprehensive transportation hub today, Xi'an lies in the heart of the Guanzhong Plain. It borders the Wei River to the north and leans against the Qinling Mountains to the south, nourished by eight rivers that bless the ancient land of Chang'an.
Designated as a World Historical City by UNESCO in 1981, it is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation, as well as the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. More than a dozen dynasties established their capitals here throughout history. Landmarks including the Feng-Hao Capital, Epang Palace and Terracotta Army of the Qin Dynasty, Weiyang Palace and Changle Palace of the Han Dynasty, Daxing City of the Sui Dynasty, and Daming Palace and Xingqing Palace of the Tang Dynasty jointly shape the everlasting Chang'an Complex.
On September 15, 2021, Xi'an hosted the 14th National Games of China, the nation’s highest-level and largest comprehensive sports event.
As the provider of integrated urban outdoor lighting solutions for Xi'an during the 14th National Games, Sanxing Lighting combined the city’s unique cultural features and development concepts with the event’s thematic image of happiness, vitality, high spirits and positivity.
We creatively designed and manufactured a full range of lighting products, including landscape street lights named Smart Urban Lighting, Led Street Light and Street Light Lamp, landscape courtyard lights Smart Led Outdoor Lights, high and medium mast lights of the Chinese Knot series, smart courtyard lights of the Aurora series, and integrated utility poles. These products have been widely installed in competition venues, railway stations, government institutions, municipal roads and other key areas, lighting up the urban splendor of Xi'an for the National Games.
Xi'an North Railway Station is the most important and largest railway passenger transport hub in Northwest China, one of the major passenger stations of the Xi'an railway hub, and a modern new-type railway transportation junction.
As one of the mainstream outdoor lighting fixtures at Xi'an North Railway Station, the landscape street lamp Smart Urban Lighting not only fulfills the basic function of outdoor illumination. Its streamlined design and profound cultural connotation also embody the cultural charm and urban aspiration of Xi'an.
In terms of appearance design, this landscape lamp draws inspiration from the cultural elements of the Weihe River in Shaanxi Province. The affection for the Weihe River flows endlessly far and long; it winds its way eastward through Tongguan with nine twisting bends. Known as "the Mother River of Shaanxi", the Weihe River has embraced new urban integration opportunities thanks to convenient transportation, ushering Xi'an into the "Weihe River Era".
Inspired by the nine bends of the Weihe River, this lamp inherits the profound historical and cultural heritage of Xi'an nourished by the river for thousands of years. It also borrows the outline of Xi'an’s most beautiful mountain winding highway, embodying the spirit of city builders who fear no lofty mountains and steep ridges, dare to innovate, and commit to urban reconstruction. The luminous decorative parts adopt flowing water elements, brimming with vitality and vigor. With a simple, elegant and grand overall shape overlooking the distance as if ready to set off, the lamp symbolizes the long-standing and time-honored culture of Xi'an.
Xi'an Railway Station is one of the earliest railway stations in modern Xi'an. Its core architectural feature lies in that the main station building is designed in perfect harmony with the ancient city style and the planned surrounding landscapes. It fully displays the profound cultural connotation and unique charm of the ancient city.
The Chinese Knot series of landscape lamps draws design elements from the architecture of Daming Palace. Combined with the implied meaning of peace and auspiciousness embodied by the Chinese Knot, the lamps blend perfectly with the overall architectural style of Xi'an Railway Station. They symbolize the prosperity of the city and interpret the joyful, vibrant, spirited and positive spirit of the National Games.
