Traditional Cultural Lighting Project Zhangze Lake (Changzhi) & Cross-Lake Avenue (Yuncheng)
Shanxi, also known as "Sanjin", is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation. It boasts a long history and profound cultural heritage. With a recorded history of three thousand years, Shanxi is honored as the cradle of Chinese civilization.
With 30 years of dedication to cultural lighting, Sanxing Lighting is a leading pioneer in the field of traditional cultural lighting, driving the development of the industry. In Shanxi, we have successfully delivered numerous high-profile traditional cultural lighting projects, including Zhangze Lake in Changzhi, Cross-Lake Bridge in Yuncheng, Xinzhou Ancient City, and Yingbin Avenue in Taiyuan. Through innovative luminaire design and professional lighting solutions, we inherit and promote Shanxi’s splendid culture and development vision, boost the local market economy, and support the economic transformation and diversified development of Shanxi.
Changzhi, historically known as Shangdang and Luzhou, is home to Zhangze Lake National Wetland Park. Located in the main urban area of Changzhi, it is one of the best-preserved natural marsh ecological lakes in China and serves as the city’s ecological green lung.
The overall design of the luminaire is themed on wetland ecology and green environmental protection. It incorporates Changzhi’s folk customs, local ancient architecture, and elements such as traditional paper-cutting. On the basis of functional lighting, the design strengthens regional characteristics. Through artistic ambient lighting effects, the local traditional history and culture are fully integrated into the lighting scheme.
• The luminaire features an antique-style design, simple and elegant, fully highlighting the city’s long history.
• The lamp pole and light box are made of imitated calcite material, which features high hardness, strong acid resistance, alkali resistance and pollution resistance, with excellent gloss and light transmittance. It ensures ideal lighting effect with softer, non-dazzling light, while the material brings a strong sense of historical texture.
• Integrating local cultural characteristics, the lighting incorporates elements of traditional paper-cutting. The base adopts real stone paint and is engraved with the ancient Chinese characters “Zhangze”, highlighting folk culture in details and endowing the luminaire with a profound sense of history and culture.
Meanwhile, the luminaire adopts a new generation of LED glass modules as its light source. Compared with traditional sodium lamps, it features low carbon emissions, low energy consumption, long service life and low maintenance costs. With mature optical and thermal dissipation design, the light source is fully utilized and maintains stable luminous flux over the long term. This not only achieves low carbon emission reduction and ensures long service life, but also reduces labor and replacement costs, effectively protecting the ecological environment.
Yuncheng, literally meaning "City of Salt Transportation", takes its name from the Yuncheng Salt Lake. Known historically as the "Exclusive City for Salt Affairs", it is the only city in China established specifically for salt transportation. Yuncheng Cross-Lake Avenue is an urban traffic thoroughfare built right above the Salt Lake.
The Salt Lake is also known as the Silver Lake. Its colorful thousand-year-old salt fields form a unique geographical landscape. In line with the characteristics of the Salt Lake, Sanxing Lighting uses lampshade patterns to depict the charm of the salt fields and integrates Yuncheng’s colorful logo into the design.Through night lighting, it integrates Yuncheng City, the Salt Lake and the salt fields into one entity, presenting the city’s long historical heritage and culture. Meanwhile, the lamp poles adopt an ancient architectural style, making the overall lighting design more distinctive with strong regional features.
Sanxing Lighting boasts a strong professional team dedicated to luminaire design and development. We have been awarded numerous international accolades, including the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award from Germany, maintaining a leading position in the field of cultural lighting. Each year, we launch more than ten new products to meet diverse customer demands and create greater value for clients. In the meantime, we actively expand into smart lighting, photovoltaic lighting, and software platforms, staying at the forefront of industry innovation.
By integrating intelligence, low-carbon concepts and cultural lighting, we empower the construction of smart cities, advance the national “Smart City & Smart Infrastructure” pilot program, and contribute to the high-quality development of urban lighting.
