Case Study: Landscape Lighting Project of Yalu River National Water Conservancy Scenic Area, Linjiang City, Jilin
Linjiang City lies at the southern foot of Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province, on the north bank of Yalu River, facing North Korea across the river. Core Lighting Product Scheme
Two self-developed lamp models winning the China Lighting Award for Scientific and Technological Innovation are applied in this project, forming a high-low matched integrated waterfront lighting system.
(1) Shenglian Led Street Light (Main Road Lighting Fixture)
This lamp adopts an original bionic lotus petal design. Classic lotus lines are optimized with lightweight modern structures, presenting a vivid blooming lotus look that combines oriental charm and modern light texture.
Functional Value: Provide full-range uniform soft lighting for scenic main roads, eliminate dark areas and guarantee safe pedestrian passage at night;
Cultural Connotation: Lotus symbolizes prosperity and harmony, representing the vigorous development of Linjiang City as well as the friendship and peaceful coexistence along the border;
Landscape Performance: Rows of Shenglian Led Street Light blend with layered Changbai Mountain ridges after dark, forming an impressive mountain-and-light scroll that becomes the signature sightseeing spot of the scenic area.
(2) Sanxing Smart Outdoor Lighting (Installed Along Waterfront Platform Guardrails)
It features an integrated minimalist industrial lamp body with freely configurable functional modules, equipped with an intelligent remote management system to adjust lighting parameters online uniformly. Three functional modules are configured in this project: basic main lighting, ground projection lamp and ring ambient decorative lamp.
Basic Lighting Module: Soft diffused light covers riverside walkways to meet the lighting demands of citizens and tourists at night;
Blue Ring Ambient Lamp: Matches color-changing guardrail light strips, and forms vertical nightscape layers together with tall Shenglian Led Street Light;
Peony Ground Projection Module: Automatically casts peony patterns at preset time points, integrating traditional Chinese flower culture into lighting scenes and perfectly combining intelligent technology with oriental aesthetics.
Final Nightscape Performance
After sunset, the matched high and low lamps build a complete three-dimensional light system. Continuous Shenglian Led Street Light line the main roads, while neat Smart Outdoor Lighting are arranged along the riverside platform. Flowing peony projections, blue ring light belts and dynamic colorful guardrail lights set off each other.
While satisfying basic safety lighting requirements, the whole lighting system greatly improves the ornamental value of the scenic area at night, boosts riverside night tourism economy and creates exclusive waterfront night view landmark for Yalu River border zone.
