Lu’an University Science and Technology Park Landscape Lighting Project: Modular SMART OUTDOOR LIGHTING Solution
1. Project Background & Park Positioning
Lu’an, also named Gaocheng, is the central city of the Dabie Mountain area in western Anhui Province. Lu’an University Science and Technology Park is located in the Lu’an Industrial Transfer Demonstration Zone under the Wanjiang City Belt. Jointly invested by Lu’an Municipal Government and the Demonstration Park under the guidance of Anhui Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Department of Education, the park integrates five core functions: enterprise incubation, scientific achievement transformation, innovation resource aggregation, industry-university-research talent training and strategic emerging industry cultivation. It serves as a core engine to upgrade local traditional industries and drive regional economic growth.
The Phase 1 core zone of the park was fully completed and put into operation in May 2018. Centered on the development concept of “technological innovation”, the park needed a set of outdoor lighting facilities that can match its high-tech positioning while supporting daily operation safety and public service. Sanxing Lighting customized modular SMART OUTDOOR LIGHTING for the whole park, breaking the single lighting function of traditional garden lamps and realizing multi-scenario intelligent management with one pole.
2. Product Design & Modular Configuration of SMART OUTDOOR LIGHTING
This series SMART OUTDOOR LIGHTING adopts full modular design, all functional units are independent and interchangeable, allowing clients to freely select and combine modules according to actual park operation demands.
For this science park project, we equipped each light pole with the following core modules:
Main functional LED lighting module for pedestrian pathway illumination
Circular decorative color light ring for night landscape embellishment
Ground projection light module for park brand LOGO display
HD video surveillance module for full-zone security monitoring
Public broadcast audio module for information release and background music playback
Optional expandable modules (not deployed in this project): WiFi hotspot, new energy vehicle charging module, environmental sensor, LED information screen, emergency call system.
2.1 High-Performance Surveillance Module (Core Intelligent Management Hardware)
HD cameras are installed on SMART OUTDOOR LIGHTING at all major passages and squares of the park to realize full-area real-time monitoring:
Adopts H.265 high-efficiency compression algorithm, greatly reducing video storage occupation;
Low-power infrared array with 30-meter effective night vision distance;
Supports offline recording resume transmission to avoid video data loss during network interruption;
Compatible with Smart NVR, supporting intelligent retrieval, analysis and condensed playback of event videos.
The monitoring system helps park managers grasp on-site conditions in real time and rapidly respond to emergencies, greatly improving the efficiency of park safety management.
2.2 Public Broadcast & Landscape Light Modules
The built-in public broadcast module can release park notices, industry news and soft background music synchronously, realizing unified audio management across the whole zone.
The circular blue decorative light ring eliminates the monotonous appearance of traditional lamp poles, creating layered night scenery together with main lighting. Timing-controlled ground projection lamps cast the park’s LOGO on walkways, highlighting the technological temperament of the innovation industrial park.
3. Night Scene Operation Experience & Humanized Value
After sunset, soft uniform light from SMART OUTDOOR LIGHTING covers all pedestrian roads and central squares. The warm main light, blue decorative ring and ground brand projection form a distinct tech-style night view, coordinating perfectly with other building floodlights and green belt lighting of the park.
Countless entrepreneurs and researchers stay late for innovation work in the park. After a full day of work, they can relax on the square under the smart light poles.
