Project Profile
Zhengzhou Botanical Garden is located in Zhongyuan District, Zhengzhou City, known as the "Plant Museum" in the Central Plains of China. It covers a water area of over 36,000 square meters and collects more than 1,500 plant species with hundreds of thousands of plants.
The garden sits at the core of Changxi Lake New Town, adjacent to Zhengzhou Public Cultural Service Center, including Olympic Sports Center, Culture & Art Center, Citizen Activity Center and Modern Media Center. Metro Line 6 and Line 14 surround the whole area. This public service zone is a key municipal project of Zhengzhou, and it hosted the 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities in 2019.
To upgrade municipal infrastructure and create an attractive night view for the sports event, Zhengzhou Botanical Garden launched a full-range landscape lighting renovation project. Sanxing Lighting delivered integrated lighting planning, design and installation service based on local vegetation, architectural features and regional positioning. We adopted a bionic design concept and deployed three customized landscape lamp series: Led Pole Lights Outdoor (Shenglian), Galaxy Landscape Lights and Butterfly Landscape Lights, balancing functional pathway lighting and artistic landscape decoration.
Three Custom Landscape Lamp Series Applied
1. Led Pole Lights Outdoor (Shenglian)
Led Pole Lights Outdoor is the main fixture for the main entrance and internal pedestrian roads. The lamp head stretches like blooming lotus flowers, perfectly matching the Chinese rose garden at the central road and forming a warm welcoming scene for visitors.
The lamp is equipped with milky white lampshades and auxiliary light sources. At dusk, the lotus-shaped light leaves cast star-like light effects in the sky, presenting a soft and elegant visual experience. Both single-arm and double four-lamp high-low arm styles are available to fit different road widths in the botanical garden.
2. Galaxy Landscape Lights
Installed along inner walkways and waterfront viewing zones, Galaxy Landscape Lights feature scattered dot light sources. When night falls, the lamps create a vast starry sky atmosphere, bringing visitors an immersive cosmic viewing experience and enriching the layered nightscape of the botanical garden.
3. Butterfly Landscape Lights
As the highlight decorative lamp of the whole project, Butterfly Landscape Lights are distributed across every corner of the garden. Surrounded by soft luminous lines, each fixture looks like glowing butterflies wandering among plants and water surfaces, adding vivid vitality to the quiet night garden.
Lighting Design Advantages & Project Value
All three lamp series adopt rigorous structural optimization and professional light distribution design, ensuring stable, uniform and glare-free functional lighting for walkways, lawns and waterside areas. Meanwhile, the bionic appearance blends naturally with various plants, water bodies and garden buildings without damaging the original ecological landscape.
The complete lighting renovation greatly improved the nighttime environment of Zhengzhou Botanical Garden, supported the smooth holding of the 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities, upgraded the city image of Zhengzhou Public Cultural Service Center, and built a high-quality ecological night lighting landmark for local residents.
