In the Zhoushan Dinghai Wushan Ecological Tourism Belt (Wushan Park Greenway) landscape lighting project, the construction unit, Beijing Furuncheng, closely collaborated with Sanxing Lighting to implement customized smart landscape courtyard lights named "Time of Glory," "Future Travel," "Ode to Dinghai," and "Vibrant Vitality." Together, they contributed to the creation of an urban green corridor that integrates cultural tourism, ecology, slow living, and smart technologies.
Empowering Urban Cultural Tourism Development
In terms of appearance design, Sanxing Lighting’s original design team deeply understood the core theme of the project. By exploring Zhoushan's unique history, culture, geographical location, and development characteristics, and integrating them with modern aesthetics, the team successfully blended industrial design with local cultural elements. This approach visualizes the city’s identity and supports the development of urban cultural tourism.
"Time of Glory": Dinghai in Zhoushan was the starting point of the Opium War and the main battlefield during the Zhoushan Campaign in the Chinese Civil War, bearing witness to the Chinese people's unyielding spirit in resisting invasion and oppression. The lamp design incorporates red cultural elements, using national-flag red as the primary color and a torch-inspired top to symbolize the enduring flame of national spirit.
"Future Travel": Zhoushan, located near the estuaries of the Qiantang River and the Yangtze River, enjoys a strategic position near the economically developed Yangtze River Delta region. The lamp adopts a contemporary gray tone and minimalist design, emphasizing a futuristic and technological feel that reflects openness and inclusiveness.
"Ode to Dinghai": As a historically significant coastal defense hub, Dinghai’s ancient city and the Scholar’s Path inspired this lamp’s antique-style design. It harmonizes with local historic architecture, featuring elements of the Chinese character "定" (Ding) to imply “calm seas,” enhancing the cultural identity and local distinctiveness of the city.
"Vibrant Vitality": True to its name, this lamp adopts a bionic design, inspired by the upward growth of orchids. The dynamic form symbolizes energy and vitality, complementing the ecological corridor and fitness trails to create a wellness-friendly “forest breathing” path.
Sanxing Lighting integrates cultural details with refined craftsmanship. Elements such as the Zhuangyuan Bridge, maritime geography, and butterfly cultural motifs are embedded into the design, creating seamless harmony between the luminaires and the urban landscape while showcasing regional character.
Building a Smart, Digital Park with Integrated Solutions
The Dinghai Wushan Ecological Corridor spans approximately 21 kilometers and includes 588 smart light poles equipped with smart lighting, surveillance, one-touch emergency call systems, patrol functions, wireless charging, environmental monitoring, network audio columns, and other smart terminals. These work in conjunction with Sanxing Lighting’s independently developed Xinghe 3.1 Smart Pole Management Platform, enabling intelligent and digital park management, improving operational efficiency, and reducing maintenance costs.
The Xinghe 3.1 platform highlights four technical strengths: high capacity, rapid deployment, real-time data updates, and cost-efficiency. It supports the access of massive numbers of devices, fast online activation, real-time data feedback, and streamlined infrastructure, all of which enhance operation and maintenance for smart city development.
Smart terminals provide more user-friendly services for visitors. Wireless charging offers emergency phone charging; one-touch alarms and surveillance systems ensure personal safety; and network audio columns broadcast public service announcements, safety alerts, and background music—enriching the overall visitor experience.
Developing a Green Slow-Traffic Corridor
Sanxing Lighting’s intelligent single-lamp controllers adjust lighting strategies based on different times and foot traffic, enabling on-demand lighting and maximum energy efficiency. Beyond brightness control, the system offers six key functions: data acquisition, operation control, fault alerts, remote monitoring, energy-saving strategies, and multiple dimming modes.
By integrating landscape lighting with smart technology, the park creates an immersive environment, realizing a truly green and low-carbon wellness route.
