Eagle Soaring Bionic LED Street Light – Municipal Lighting Project Case of Yunfeng Expressway Connecting Road, Yuncheng
1. Project Overview
As an important birthplace of Chinese civilization and a core city in the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration, Yuncheng keeps upgrading its urban transportation network. Improving night driving safety and urban nightscape has become a key priority of municipal renovation.
The Yunfeng Expressway Connecting Road Lighting Project is located in Yanhu District, Yuncheng, undertaken by the local Urban Lighting Service Center. The whole road stretches 4370.68 meters, starting from Guanyin Statue on Shenghui Road and ending at Yuncheng West Expressway Toll Station.
The project upgraded full-range functional lighting while building a cultural urban nightscape, balancing three core demands: highway traffic safety, urban image upgrading and energy conservation. Sanxing Lighting was responsible for customized street light design and full delivery of lighting facilities.
Combined with Yuncheng’s urban spirit of forging ahead and booming development, we customized bionic street lights named Eagle Soaring. Taking soaring eagles as the prototype, the lamps integrate modern lighting craftsmanship with local urban culture, realizing the unification of road lighting function, cultural aesthetics and low-carbon energy saving.
2. Four Core Technical Advantages of Eagle Soaring Street Lights
2.1 High-transmittance & High-lumen LED Glass Module
Expressway connecting roads carry heavy traffic, requiring uniform illuminance and long-distance lighting performance. All street lights are equipped with new LED glass modules with low-iron ultra-white tempered glass:
Iron content of glass is only 1/10 of ordinary glass, visible light transmittance of 4mm glass exceeds 92% with excellent color consistency;
Road illuminance and brightness are increased by over 10% compared with traditional street lights, delivering soft and even light to reduce night driving glare and light pollution;
Dust and oil stain resistant surface maintains high light transmittance for years; built-in pressure balance breather eliminates internal fogging and condensation, extending LED service life and cutting long-term maintenance costs.
2.2 Top Ventilation Window for Heat Dissipation
The integrated top ventilation window design accelerates air convection inside the power chamber, continuously lowering operating temperature of power drivers, stabilizing internal electronic components and extending overall lamp service life under extreme outdoor temperature conditions.
2.3 Auxiliary Light Box with Wing-shaped Light Effect
Auxiliary light boxes on both sides of lamp body create layered eagle-wing light effects when lit at night, with highly recognizable bionic appearance in daytime. The lighting perfectly blends with urban night scenery, realizing integrated design of functional lighting and cultural landscape.
