Zibo Zhongrun Avenue Lighting Project by Sanxing Lighting | A Perfect Combination of Ceramic Culture & Modern Urban Illumination
Zibo, known as the "Capital of the Ancient Qi State" and the renowned "Porcelain Capital" of China, boasts a time-honored ceramic culture. The 20th China (Zibo) International Ceramics Exposition is a vital platform for the city to showcase its charm to the world. To welcome the ceramics expo and implement Zibo’s Three-Year Urban Quality Improvement Initiative, the lighting renovation project of Zhongrun Avenue was listed as one of the key municipal priority projects.
With 33 years of in-depth experience in the outdoor lighting industry, Sanxing Lighting undertook the design and construction of this project. We combined traditional cultural essence with modern cutting-edge lighting technology to build a benchmark urban lighting project. This project has comprehensively optimized road lighting performance and upgraded Zibo’s night-time urban image.
1. Project Background & Construction Requirements
Zhongrun Avenue is located in the core area of Zibo, surrounded by dense commercial districts and residential communities with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Before the renovation, the road facilities were outdated, and landscape lighting facilities were severely insufficient. Poor night lighting not only threatened travel safety but also restricted the development of the local night economy.
In accordance with the requirements of enhancing the city’s image for the ceramics expo, we set three core objectives for the project: integrate Zibo’s millennium-old ceramic culture with modern urban style, adopt high-performance and energy-saving lighting equipment, and realize the three-level night scene upgrade: Brightening, Beautification and Intellectualization. Our goal was to create a practical, artistic and culture-integrated municipal lighting model project. Faced with a tight construction schedule and strict quality standards, the professional team of Sanxing Lighting customized a full-set lighting solution and successfully delivered the project on schedule.
2. Featured Product: Outside Street Lamps – Fusion of Culture & Design
The core street light of this project is named Outside Street Lamps. Its design draws inspiration from traditional Chinese mythology. In ancient books, Honghu refers to the white phoenix, a symbol of good fortune and soaring development. It symbolizes the ambition of Zibo’s ceramic industry to thrive and lead the global market.
Cultural Design Concept
Adopting bionic design, the Outside Street Lamps present the vivid posture of Honghu soaring upward. It organically blends the ancient charm of the Porcelain Capital with modern urban aesthetics. The exquisite texture of the lamp head echoes the wing-shaped lamp arms, creating rich layers and elegant oriental artistic conception. Arranged along the avenue, these Outside Street Lamps form a continuous landscape and become a distinctive cultural landmark of Zibo.
Landscape Effect
The wing-shaped lamp arms extend outward, matched with transparent decorative top lights. The harmonious light and shadow integrate with urban roads and buildings, creating layered night landscapes and injecting new vitality into the city streets.
3. Technical Advantages: High-efficiency LED Light Source – Energy-saving, Durable & Reliable
For lighting performance, Sanxing Lighting adopted self-developed Dual-reflective Distributed Cross Light Guide System with LED light source modules, bringing outstanding technical advantages:

Compared with traditional lighting modules, the illuminance and brightness of our Outside Street Lamps are increased by more than 10%. The light is bright, soft and evenly distributed, which effectively reduces light pollution and creates a safe and comfortable night environment for pedestrians and drivers. Meanwhile, the solution greatly cuts energy consumption, complying with the concept of green municipal construction.
Advanced Protection & Longer Service Life
A professional breather is equipped inside the light source cavity to balance internal and external air pressure, eliminating fog and condensation thoroughly. This design stabilizes the luminous flux of LED chips and extends the service life of the Outside Street Lamps. Besides, the lamp surface is resistant to dust and oil contamination, adapting to complex outdoor environments and reducing later maintenance costs.
